A Blosser Weekend at the Beach

We finally found time to get out to the beach with the boys... It's always so hard to pack up and get out there even though it's practically down the street. It doesn't help that I really don't like sand very much... (A product of my mother never wanting us to get sand in out suit. Thanks MOM)

Trevor had won a chili cook off a few years ago and the grand prize was a two night stay at The Trade Winds Resort on St Pete Beach (so FANCY). It was much easier being able to walk out of our room and down to the beach for a nice morning then be able to come back, shower up, nap, then hit the pool in the afternoon before dinner. We had a great time and I think the boys really enjoyed the sand between their toes or in Lennox's case, the sand in his mouth (YUCK).

Enjoying a chip snack in the hotel room

Yummy Dinner at Skidder's Italian Rest.

Even Lennox loved it

Eggs and Pop Tarts for Breakfast.. Thanks for helping mom make breakfast.

Lennox wasn't to sure he liked the Beach at first.

Family Fun

Trevor thought he was on vacation... Ha Yeah Right Dad.

I'm not sure Trevor was taking a picture, of the boys, orrr?

Digging a tunnel.

Shark Tooth Necklace making with Red Beard the Pirate...

Lennox didn't think it was all it was cracked up to be.

but Xzavier enjoyed it... I think :)

Ohh MOM!

It's always nice when someone offers to take our family picture but you really only get one shot.

My Boys, getting ready for a paddle boat ride... Its harder then it looks.. Believe me, I was exhausted.

Night swimming. Xzavier thought it was so cool.

Good Morning! I think Xzavier slept good. Not sure about Lennox.

Now you'll feel better.

We were so tired and ready to go home but we had a great time and look forward to our next trip to the beach.

Xzavier Completes Swim School. Level 2

Our little fish is such an amazing swimmer. Everywhere we go people comment on his great swimming ability. Honestly, I'm even amazed at his strength. Hopefully Lennox can follow in his Footsteps or should I say Flippers. The session is done for the year but we look forward to starting back up in the spring... Thank you Seal Swim School you guys are all amazing.

Safety Day! Xzavier thinks it's so silly to swim with his clothes on :)
Safe Seals always wear their life vest.

Next year its your turn, Lennox.
Xzavier helps Miss Lindsay swim to safety.
Yea Swim School!
Congratulations Big Boy!... Mom is so proud of you!

Learning Letters, Numbers & Colors

Xzavier has been working hard to learn his letters. I made this flash card board since he loves matching games. I made two cards for each letter and glued one to a poster board. Xzavier matches the other card and we make the sounds and say words that begin with the letter as a celebration for finding the match.

We have also been using a Weekly Theme program to learn letters, numbers & colors. I downloaded a 26 week program from www.letteroftheweek.com. The curriculum consists of a Weekly Theme, Color or Shape, Letter, Number, Vocab Word, and a Song or Rhyme. I created a Theme Board and posted on my laundry room door to help us remember to incorporate the themes in our daily life. Sometimes I don't change the theme out every week. Once I feel we have gone over the weekly items enough then we move on to the next Theme.

The best thing about this program is it can be for any age group and for any house hold. It's what you make it. Another thing I love about the program is that it gives you something different to talk about with your kids instead of the same old stuff; "Trucks", "Trains", "Dinosaurs".  This will in turn help your children broaden their vocabulary by learning about things not encountered in daily life.... Teaching them about the BIG WORLD out there.

The Blosser Boys are Baptized!!

I finally got my act together and had the boys baptized. We had a beautiful ceremony at St Anselms Church in Chesterland, Ohio. My family has been a part of this parish since I was young and we were blessed to have the boys baptized there. It was Beautiful!

Xzavier's Godparents. Aunt Nicole and Uncle Renick.

Lennox's Godparents. Aunt Stephanie and Uncle Doug.
While in Ohio we also had a Wedding Shower for my Sister Stephanie and her Finance Doug. We had a great time (as usual). Thank you to my Aunt Lori and Uncle Jay for opening their house to us so we could have two huge parties back to back. Wow another Whirl Wind Trip to Ohio.

Giving Nana Some Love. She'll be 100 in May. Amazing!!

Its always nice to visit my Grandparents. We wish it was more often.

Its always fun at Grandma Mary's House. Xzavier always gets a ride. Lennox had so much fun he crashed before we could make it to the car.

The Towel Cake that I made. Well my sister Nicole helped out too. Thanks Nicole, I had a lot of fun working on this project with you.
