Happy 100th Birthday Nana!!

My Great Grandma, Emily Serian, turned 100 this past week. She is the most wonderful woman I have ever met. It makes me so happy that she has had the chance to meet my boys and be apart of their lives. Lennox is still a little small to realize who she is but Xzavier loves his Nana. They spend a lot of time together when we visit Ohio and it always brings a tear to my eye to watch them converse and interact.

~Dear Nana
I can only hope to live a long, fun filled life as great as yours has been. You have taught me so much through the years, many things your are probably unaware of. Just by watching your actions and being around your loving ways I have learned to be a great wife and mother. You've taught me to be patient, gentle and caring but not with out adding my strong word and opinion when needed. I want to thank you for being such a powerful inspiration in my life. I love you so much and I'm so glad you are here to share in seeing my family grow. I am so blessed to have you in my life and I just want you to know that words can not even express my love and admiration for you. Have a wonderful Birthday...~

To celebrate Nana's birthday we were invited to the Owners Suite at the Cleveland Indians Game (Nana's Favorite team). Not only were we invited to the suite and met the Dolan Family, my Nana also threw out the first pitch of the game. There were 5 generations present to see this once in a life time event. Names were drawn from a hat and a representative from each generation lined up on the mound and passed the ball down the line, Xzavier, Cousin Dominique, My Mother Diane, Grandma Joanne, then to Nana for the wind up and the pitch. All the family was going crazy from the sideline and 50 additional guests in section 134 called themselves Team Emily #100!!! Thank you so much to the Dolan Family for making this dream come true for my Great Grandmother, She was truly on cloud 9 all day and from what I hear she's still flying and telling the story to everyone she meets.

We also threw a grand birthday party for Nana, 261 people. Nana new every person who was in attendance and shared a special memory with each one as they greeted her in a receiving line. It really is amazing how sharp she still is at this age. She even remembered who my Inlaw's were as soon as they approached her, Earlier in the week they had sent her a gift and a card with beautiful birthday wishes and she remembered to thank them when she saw them.  It was a beautiful party with a lot of great food, family and friends. What more do you need when your 100?!?!?!
