Visiting the Easter Bunny & The Helicopter Egg Drop 2013

Seeing the Easter Bunny seemed like it was going to be a successful event for Lennox this year. He was excited in the car on the way to the Mall and even seemed happy and excited once in line (looking at the bunny). Our turn came to get our picture taken and all that excitement changed to fear real quick. Poor guy, He just doesn't trust these characters. Xzavier on the other hand loves it and always has. He just marches right up there tells them what he wants and what needs to be brought for his brothers. That guy is all business when it comes to Santa and the Easter Bunny :) Cracks me up. Nixon still could careless, I wonder if he will continue to be carefree or like Lennox develop a slight fear. At any rate we got a priceless picture (as usual) and made great memories.

I love that Nixon is getting a kick out of Lennox :)

That day, after seeing the Bunny, we made our way to a (what was thought to be small) festival in the area. They were to have a Helicopter Egg Drop. Super cool idea but way, way too many people thought the same thing, 6,500 more people to be exact. They planned to drop 10,000 eggs across a field with age 0-4 on one side and 5 & up on the other. First, there was no one to monitor what ages were on what side and no barriers to keep the two sides from crossing over. Second, parents were dropping their kids over the fence to get a head start before the "go ahead" was given, and Third, there was no structure once the kids and parents started running crazy. In about two mins total chaos broke out. Kids were running, crying, frantically looking for their parents. Parents were splitting up to look for their kids, yelling out names, with the look of total fright on their faces... Needless to say we didn't even get one egg and yes my Xzavier was very sad :(
On the way back to the car we were able to find two parts to an egg and I found some candies in my purse. My husband placed the egg, sticking out of his pocket and when X saw it his eyes lite up and the tears dried up instantly. He was so excited, to think, an egg actually fell into Dads pocket and we didn't even know it :)         Here's the link to the News story about it.  Dunedin Apologizes

Waiting for the Helicopter to Fly over I started to think there were a lot of people.
10,000 Eggs!

Since we didn't originally plan to go, I had to clean out our snack bag and diaper pouch for baskets.
